Certification Agreement Summary

A summary of key terms that certified businesses agree to upon receiving Satvik Certification.

This is a summary of the full Certification Agreement. All applicants receive the complete agreement during the application process. By accepting certification, businesses agree to the following key terms:

1. Scope of Certification

  • Certification applies only to the specific branch(es) and product line(s) listed on the certificate.
  • Certification does not automatically extend to new branches, new products, or affiliated entities.
  • The certified business must notify Satvik Certified of any material changes to their operations, menu, suppliers, or kitchen setup within 15 days of the change.

2. Obligations of the Certified Business

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable Satvik Certified standards throughout the certification period.
  • Allow auditors access for scheduled and unannounced inspections.
  • Maintain all required records and make them available during inspections.
  • Use the Satvik Certified mark only as permitted by the Logo Usage Guidelines.
  • Display the QR verification code alongside the certification badge.
  • Promptly address any corrective action requirements issued after inspections.
  • Not make any false or misleading claims about the scope of certification.
  • Not use the mark on unapproved branches or products.

3. Rights of Satvik Certified

  • Conduct scheduled, surveillance, and surprise inspections at any time during the certification period.
  • Suspend or revoke certification for non-compliance, misuse, or violation of any agreement terms.
  • Update certification standards — businesses will be given reasonable notice and transition periods for significant standard changes.
  • Publish the certification status (including suspension/revocation) on the public directory and verification tool.
  • Investigate any complaints received about the certified business.

4. Intellectual Property

  • The Satvik Certified mark, logo, badges, and QR codes remain the exclusive property of Satvik Certified Pvt. Ltd.
  • Businesses receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the mark during the active certification period.
  • Upon expiry, suspension, or revocation, all rights to use the mark immediately cease.
  • Continued use of the mark after certification ends constitutes trademark infringement.

5. Applicant Declarations

By applying for and accepting certification, the applicant declares that:

  • All information provided in the application and during audits is true and accurate.
  • They understand certification is process-based and does not certify personal identity or faith.
  • They will comply with all Terms & Conditions, Logo Usage Guidelines, and certification standards.
  • They accept that certification does not guarantee business success or consumer preference.
  • They consent to public listing of their certification details on the directory and verification tool.
  • They understand fees are non-refundable as per the Refund Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

Satvik Certified's liability to any certified business is limited to the amount of certification fees paid. We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages arising from certification, suspension, revocation, or any dispute related to certification.

7. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

8. Amendments

Satvik Certified may amend the certification agreement terms. Significant changes will be communicated to certified businesses at least 30 days before taking effect.
